Retriever / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Husker the Dog needs a home

Husker is a very handsome 1 yr old. He was found as a stray fending for himself until a Good Samaritan called NDLB. Since his rescue, Husker has come out of his shell. He is still quite timid with new people and new environments but once he is introduced, becomes more and more comfortable. Husker loves toys, especially ones that squeak and have stuffing! He also loves attention and to be pet. If you stop petting him he will nudge your arm asking for more. Husker is mostly house trained and will ask to go outside. He does well in his kennel once he is in, but it can take some coaxing to get him in. Husker does well will other dogs and people. He hasn't been around many children, but I'm sure he would adore them. He is a big, goofy, klutzy boy so he may knock toddlers over by accident. He has never met a cat, but I imagine he would be best of friends with one if he did. He would most likely benefit from having another dog in the home to teach him how to do "dog stuff". Husker is a gentle soul and is still learning trust and will need a patient and quiet home.

Husker's  adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, neuter, prepaid microchip, 4DX,dewormer, Rabies vaccine, Distemper combo vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00
